Details of Resource Acquisition for TVAA
Resources Needed
Prior to the Planning Phase I, TVAA will appreciate support from the Ethiopian Federal and District Governments to help:
Acquire the amount of land necessary to effectively implement the training program, page 5
Acquire necessary licenses and permits
Provide access to other essential agencies as needed in the East Wallegaa Administrative Region of Oromia or beyond, produce and disseminate TVAA materials announcing the TVAA project, including employment opportunities and student enrollment information.
For Phase I, TVAA will need resources to plan and construct the infrastructure of the academy as detailed above. It is the intention of TVAA to to seek funding for the Planning Year from US. Governmental Agencies, e.g., USAID and also US NGOs that are currently funding agricultural efforts in Ethiopia (See Phase I Budget).
TVAA will also need resources to implement Phase II, the teaching program over four years. It is the intention of TVAA to seek funding for Phase II - Implementation from US. Governmental Agencies, e.g., USAID and also US. NGOs that are currently funding agricultural efforts in Ethiopia (See Phase II Budget).
TVAA will appreciate support for Phase II from the Ethiopian Federal and District Governments to:
Help support enrolled students during their tenure at the Academy with non-taxable living stipends or scholarships
Guarantee TVAA graduates access to land after graduation,
Guarantee TVAA graduates access to startup monies (loans) with no interest for five years, and
Allow TVAA graduates who establish full-time agri-peneurial businesses to be exempt from Federal and State income tax for the first five years.
